Get Ready for Some Heartfelt Fun: Upcoming Charity Series of Poker Events in Las Vegas
As the dazzling lights of Las Vegas shine bright, the excitement of poker tournaments fills the air, especially for those attending the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT). However, aside from the high-stakes games, there’s an incredible opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying some thrilling poker. The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) is set to host a couple of significant events, and you won’t want to miss out!
A Special Weekend with “All In for Impact”
Kickstarting the charitable momentum is the “All In For Impact” event on Saturday, November 2, at 6 p.m. PT. This poker tournament benefits the Williams-Marshall Cares Leadership Program, an initiative focused on empowering youth through leadership development. The venue for this exciting evening will be Hattie Marie’s Texas BBQ, a new culinary gem on S. Las Vegas Blvd, renowned for its Southern BBQ flair.
With a $250 buy-in, participants will compete for a $5,000 cash prize pool along with more than $9,000 in donated prizes. Each buy-in comes with initial chips, two drink tickets, and appetizers—enough to stir up the competitive spirit! The tournament kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and features some celebrity attendees, including Super Bowl Champion Brandon Marshall, who is also the Executive Director of Williams-Marshall Cares.
Marshall is joined by other notable figures from the sports and entertainment world, including former NFL player Hayes Pullard, actor Peter Mackenzie, actress Katie Morgan, UFC fighters Antonio Trocoli and Mackenzie Dern, and tattoo legend Joey Hamilton. For those who prefer to support the cause without participating in the tournament, there’s an option to attend for $100, which includes access to appetizers, cocktails, a silent auction, and a cash raffle.
Marshall expressed the mission behind the event well: "This poker tournament is an exciting opportunity to come together with our community in support of youth leadership. It’s about raising funds and awareness for our mission to equip young people with the skills and values they need to thrive as future leaders."
“Chip In For Autism” – A Cause That Hits Close to Home
Just a week later, on November 10, there’s another compelling CSOP event—“Chip In for Autism”—slated for the WorldView at World Market Center in Las Vegas. Starting its silent auction and cocktail hour at 4:30 p.m. PT and followed by a $300 buy-in charity poker tournament at 6 p.m., this event aims to raise funds for Families for Effective Autism Treatment, Inc. (FEAT) and Sunshine Nevada Camps.
With over $5,000 in cash and $9,000 in donated prizes, participants are sure to have an exciting evening of poker while contributing to a noble cause. Both organizations focus on enhancing the lives of individuals with autism and their families. Sunshine Nevada’s programs, like Camp I Am, provide joyful camp experiences for youth, fostering connections and personal growth.
FEAT advocates for early diagnosis and appropriate services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Southern Nevada. Together, these organizations dream of an inclusive future, focusing on enriching lives and supporting families through advocacy and community engagement.
“Poker for Patriots” – Supporting Veterans on the Same Day
Also on November 10, while the “Chip In for Autism” event takes place in Las Vegas, the CSOP will host the “Poker for Patriots” in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This tournament, with a $300 buy-in, will support both the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) and the V Foundation, two organizations making a tangible difference in the lives of veterans and cancer research, respectively.
The VGA promotes camaraderie amongst veterans through golf, while the V Foundation has made significant strides in cancer research, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to scientists. Participants can look forward to an open bar, a gala dinner, and an exciting poker tournament with prizes including a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat.
Join the Fun and Make a Difference
Each of these CSOP events presents a unique opportunity not only for poker enthusiasts but also for individuals who want to give back to their community.
