Bettors Start Bidding on Who Biden Will Pardon Next

After President Joe Biden announced that he issued a pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, shielding him from prosecution and jail time – which he had a very good chance of serving, facing sentencing in two criminal prosecutions – bettors have started betting on who the 46th President may pardon next.

Bettors Happy to Place a Wager on the Next Presidential Pardon

Biden will not be held liable for any misdeeds he may have committed between January 1, 2024, through December 1, 2024.

Kalshi, though, is already running more election markets for bettors to cotton onto. The platform made waves after successfully launching its prediction markets for political races and swatting away legal challenges while vowing to expand its offer – which is happening right now.

Among the likely people to receive a pardon is also Jim Biden, the President’s oldest brother. Originally, Biden said he would not consider issuing a pardon to his son, Hunter, but this has now changed. Following the President’s surprise U-turn, Jim Biden is now a 33% favorite to receive a pardon.

The eldest of the Biden brothers is also suspected to have engaged in illicit activities, according to Republican accusers, who would have felt at liberty to press the matter under the incoming administration of the President-elect, Donald Trump, who has spearheaded a revanchist campaign marked by a retaliatory streak.

However, Kalshi is hardly just relying on the Biden family to excite interest. Another prominent figure that could be targeted under the Trump administration is Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Some Members of the Administration Deserve Amnesty

Fauci is facing pressure from both conspiracy theorists on the Trump team and the wider Republican caucus, with many opponents insisting that Fauci lied when he told the American people that vaccinations would necessarily stop the spreading of the virus during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

Another matter that Fauci could be held liable for is his alleged lying to the US Congress in dismissing allegations that the US government was funding research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where the COVID-19 virus is believed to have originated.

To spice things up, Diddy, a lifetime Democrat supporter is also featured as one of the available markets, but a highly unlikely target of Presidential clemency. He stands accused of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for prosecution.

The rapper still has a 2% slim chance to be pardoned, according to Kalshi. Such a morally conflicting decision is highly improbable, as reflected by the odds.
